Acorn Camp East Campground is located at New Hogan Lake on the Calaveras River in the Sierra foothill region of central California. Water skiers enjoy excellent skiing along the 50 miles of shoreline, and there is year-round fishing for stripers, bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish.
A golf course is just two miles away from the campground and a Watchable Wildlife site where Bald Eagles may be viewed is also in the vicinity. Additional amenities include hot showers, an amphitheater, bike trails, interpretive trail, horse trails,18 hole frisbee golf course and fish cleaning facilities.
Acorn East is open year round and campsite reservations can be made for the period April 1 through September 30. From October 1 through March 31, campsites are available on a first-come first-served basis. [Read More]
